"I have forever had a love and appreciation for all things beautiful. I see beauty everywhere. For me, life is a giant canvas and everything inspires me. From the obvious to the subtle, the everyday to the extraordinary, from my garden to my wardrobe, from the smile on my grandchild’s face to the wisdom in my mother’s eyes, my work is about translating the beauty I see and feel in my life onto the canvas for viewers to experience. I like to explore working with color and different objects in unexpected ways. I don’t like being confined to one style or being limited by one object of expression. I enjoy the freedom and spontaneity in the creative process and painting offers me the opportunity to create a visual story of what I am feeling. My work is an extension of my soul. Ultimately and unintentionally, all of my paintings become self-portraits."
